From my statement:

I continually gather content for my art making, by consideration of the society I live in, and through both deliberate and casual conversation. As a result, many of my artworks contain words and phrases that are directly linked to my thoughts about our displacement. Written words appear throughout my work, along with the spoken word, uttered by me and by others.
